2024-2025 ACT Skilled Capital
Skilled Capital is an ACT Government funded training initiative.
Wentworth College is one of 21 training providers approved to deliver subsidised courses in the Canberra region.
Skilled Capital offers a comprehensive range of services and subsidies and will improve access to high quality training in areas of skills needs.
The initiative provides subsidised vocational education and training to eligible Canberrans across a range of industries including community services qualifications.
Through the Skilled Capital initiative and Wentworth College, Canberrans can access government subsidised training and study at a greatly reduced cost. Skilled Capital funding is subject to available places, eligibility and suitability criteria.

Skilled Capital Eligibility Requirements
Skilled Capital funded qualifications are heavily subsidised and hence the enrolment fee is greatly reduced. Prospective students must meet the Skilled Capital eligibility requirements to secure a subsidised place. As a minimum a student must, for the duration of the enrolment, be:
- An Australian citizen, permanent resident, or new Zealand passport holder resident for more than six months, or
- Person who holds a visa that is identified as being eligible, and
- Living or working in the ACT, and
- At least 17 years of age, and
Not enrolled in or attending a school or college, or another program leading to the completion of year 12.

Fees and Charges
Skilled Capital is an ACT Government funded training initiative.
Students are required to contribute to the cost of training, except where the student is eligible for a concession rate enrolment fee. Wentworth College offers the following Skilled Capital subsidised qualification:

Fee Concession
Wentworth College may offer a fee concession to eligible students in certain circumstances.
A fee concession applies to the following students:
- hold a current Health Care Card or Pension Card, or
- can prove genuine hardship.
Students must provide evidence including a copy of Health Care Card or Pension Card as well as a copy of Centrelink Income Statement.
Places are limited and are allocated to suitable students.
We are taking expressions of interest now for training to commence after our next course.
Before we can proceed with the Pre-Training Review and Enrolment process, we gather some information from you to check eligibility and conduct an assessment of your skill levels.
